Crittenden County has withdrawn from the girls’ 5th District Tournament due to COVID-19 protocol causing Friday’s schedule to change and advancing Livingston Central into the championship game.

The tournament was pushed back three days to Friday when Crittenden County entered COVID-19 protocol last Friday.  Schools were made aware of the situation last weekend.  After consulting with coaches, athletic directors, the KHSAA, and the local health department, the decision was made to move the semifinals from Tuesday to Friday.

Crittenden County was the No. 1 seed after going unbeaten in district play.  The Lady Rockets were 16-4 and champions of the All A Classic region tournament.

No. 2 seed Lyon County will play No. 3 seed Trigg County Friday at 6:00. No. 4 seed Livingston Central moves into Saturday’s championship game at 7:00.

The region tournament is scheduled to begin Monday at the location of this week’s district winner.  The semifinals and championship game will move to Hopkins County Central.
