Dawson Springs tried to give top-seeded Hopkins County Central a battle in the first half.
The game was tied 17-17 in the second quarter before the Lady Storm got to the break with a 30-21 advantage.
But it was all Hopkins Central after the intermission.
Brianna Fritz scored 14 of her game-high 26 points in the third period as the Lady Storm pulled away to claim a 64-28 victory Thursday night in the semifinals of the 7th District tournament in Princeton.
Hopkins Central (9-7) has earned a berth in the 2nd Region tourney next week and will play for the district title at 6 p.m. on Friday.
The Lady Storm ran out to an 8-1 lead early and looked like they might make quick work of the Lady Panthers.
But Dawson (2-14) regroup and came all the way back to tie the game at 17-17 following a 25-footer by Gracie Harper with 3:29 left in the first half.
However, the Lady Panthers could never get the lead, and scored just four more points in the second period as Hopkins Central got to halftime with a 30-21 advantage.
The lead quickly grew to 20 at 41-21 following the break.
Dawson made just one field goal in the second half as the Lady Storm went up by as much as 37 points at 62-25 in the fourth quarter.
Emilee Jones had 14 points and Keri Reynolds added 13 as Hopkins Central beat Dawson for the second time this season.
The Lady Storm have won four straight games overall but were playing for the first time in 16 days after being in COVID quarantine leading up the district tournament.
Harper led Dawson Springs with 11 points in the semifinal setback.
