Shaw Howell and Fernando Montes helped the Christian County boys’ swimmers to a 2nd-place showing in Tuesday’s tri-meet with Hopkinsville and Marshall County. The Colonels tallied 69 points to finish runner-up to the Marshalls.
Shaw earned the top spot in the 100-yard free with a time of 1:11.22, while also grabbing 3rd in the 200 free at 2:35.15. Montes was 2nd in the 100 free with a 1:16.85 and took 3rd in the 50 free at 30.67.
Cam Peacock highlighted the Tiger effort with 1st-place finishes in the 200 free (2:27.07) and another win in the 100 breast (1:27.66).
