Christian County is ranked 17th in the state in the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association preseason poll released Thursday.
The Lady Colonels are one of three Second Region schools in the top 25. Henderson County is No. 14 and received a first-place vote, and Madisonville is No. 22.
Lyon County and Webster County both received votes but were outside the top 25.
Warren East is the preseason No. 1 team by a single point over No. 2 Male. McCracken County is No. 5, and Marshall County is No. 7.
Christian County opens its 2021 season Tuesday at Calloway County.
