
The Caldwell County Lady Tiger softball team played its only preseason scrimmage Friday at Calloway County.
The Lady Tigers trailed 3-1 after one inning and 5-1 after two innings.
Caldwell got a little more offense going later in the scrimmage, but still suffered an 8-5 setback to the Lady Lakers.
Harper Holeman had an RBI double and Brylee Butts knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly as Caldwell scored twice in the fourth.
The Lady Tigers picked up two runs in the sixth but could get no closer than 8-5.
Caldwell’s girls are scheduled to open the regular season on Monday with a trip to Henderson County.
The Lady Tigers will play at home for the first time on Tuesday against 7th District foe Hopkins County Central.
