
Trigg County finished second at the KHSAA Region I Girls Archery Tournament Saturday and will advance to the state tournament later this spring.
Audie Smith shot a 292 to finish in second place at region. In three career region shoots, Smith has two runner-up finishes and a first-place finish.
She finished one shot behind the winner, Henderson County’s Jessie Adams.
Briana Hall-Johnstone finished tenth with a score of 282, and Jeri Beth Oliver was 13th with a 278.
The other nine shooters that rounded out the scoring for Trigg County were:
McKenna Green – 273 – 25th place
Rivver Knott – 273 – 26th place
Kylie McCormick – 269 – 35th place
Devin Mackey – 266 – 45th place
Mykaila Rogers – 263 – 50th place
Kinley Humphries – 261 – 57th place
Cecillia Smith – 256 – 68th place
Kerra Johnson – 238 – 87th place
Khloe Ladd – 231 – 92nd place
As a team, Trigg County finished second with 1,933 points, which was 10 points behind region champion Calloway County.
Both Trigg County and Calloway County will advance to the KHSAA State Tournament to be held on April 20 in Bowling Green.
