Boyle County singer Alyssa Wray of Perryville will be back on “American Idol” Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC-TV. Wray, 19, has advanced to the top 24 of season 4 by impressing judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan.

This week Wray will perform a solo followed by a “duet with a surprise celebrity guest” for a chance to make it to live shows according to a release from the show.

“American Idol” will be back in the studio starting with our All-Star Duets and Solo Rounds airing Sunday and Monday with a LIVE studio audience made up of Idol super-fans who will be seated in pods with their immediate household and masked.

Now here is where Big Blue Nation — Wray is a former Boyle County basketball player and the Northern Kentucky freshman is a huge University of Kentucky fan — can help.

For the first time this season, America will get to vote on Sunday and Monday. Overnight voting begins following each duet episode and four will be eliminated from each duet group.

The top 16 results will be revealed the following week during the April 11 episode.
