A nine-run fourth inning helped Caldwell County’s girls pick up their first win of the season on Friday.

The Lady Tigers’ big inning broke a 1-1 tie and sent Caldwell to an 11-2 victory in Princeton.

The win was the first for Caldwell head coach Seath Butts with the Lady Tigers.

Ilyssa Stallins allowed just one earned run while scattering seven base hits in the pitching circle for Caldwell. She struck out six and walked just one.

Meanwhile, Alicia Stanley and Harper Holeman had big days at the plate for the Lady Tigers.

Stanley was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and four runs batted in while Holeman went 3-for-4 with three doubles and an RBI.

Allie Felker went 2-for-4 and knocked in a run.

Webster (0-3) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning but Caldwell (1-2) tied things in the bottom of the frame.

Caldwell then erupted for its nine runs in the bottom of the fourth and the Lady Tigers went on to win 11-2.
