Arne Seeger is returning to coach the Christian County boys’ soccer program after three seasons away.  CCHS Principal Matt Boehman made the announcement Wednesday.

“Coach Seeger returns to lead the Colonels with renewed excitement and drive, providing stability for our program. CCHS looks forward to his leadership and knowledge for years to come as he leads our program in the right direction,” Boehman said in a media release.

Seeger was 30-51-7 in four seasons as Colonel coach from 2014-17. His 2014 team went 12-8-3 and won the Eighth District title.  He stepped down following the 2017 season.

Seeger replaces Austin Byrum who stepped down after two seasons. The Colonels won one game in 2020, that coming against Hopkinsville in the district tournament.

Seeger has coached soccer for 15 years, with eight of those at Christian County. He was an assistant coach for four seasons prior to succeeding Clint Willis in 2014.
