Three top-5 finishes by Riley Brame and a runner-up in the 4x400M Relay fueled the Trigg County girls’ 6th-place showing at the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic on Saturday at Fort Campbell.
Brame ran 4th in both the 100 and 300M Hurdles with times of 19.60 and 56.73, while also taking 5th in the Triple Jump with a 27-03.00.
The 4×400 Relay team of Fatu Crain, Reese Bush, Iyana Grubbs, and DeDe Barbee posted a strong 2nd-place finish with a time of 4:37.39. Grubbs, Alliyah Thomas, Taylor Goodwin, and Crain were 4th in the 4x100M Relay with a 55.97, and the same group with Barbee in for Thomas was also 4th in the 4×200 with a 2:04.89.
Crain grabbed 5th place in the 100M with a 13.44, while Grubbs was 13th, and Taylor Goodwin was 22nd. Barbee finished 7th in the 200M, followed by Goodwin in 19th, and Mary Kate Ricks in 26th. Bush ran 9th in the 800M and 10th in the 1600M, and Ella Dollison was 15th in the 400M. Ricks was also 16th in the 400M.
Thomas was 5th in the Shot Put with a throw of 25-09.00, 7th in the Long Jump, and 10th in the Discus. Alivia Norwood finished 20th in the Discus and 19th in the Shot. Charlstyn Heath was 20th in the Shot.
