Big fish were hard to come by Saturday for the Trigg County fishing team as its top team finished 12th at the Student Angler Federation stop on Lake Barkley.
Trey Carr and Dallas Ahart caught five bass weighing 9.1 pounds as Trigg’s top tandem.
Christian Jones and Mitchell Green finished in 27th place with three bass weighing 5.14 pounds. Their big bass weighed 3.5 pounds.
Thomas Hawkins checked in with one bass weighing 2.13 pounds, while Savannah Chambless and Avery Harper caught one fish weighing 2.4 pounds.
Also checking in with a two-pound bass for Trigg County were Anthony Ethridge and Dominick Sabatino.
Eli Hoover and John Barnard were able to find five bass weighing 17.2 pounds to win Saturday’s event. Harlan Thomas and Sam Mann of Marshall County were second with 14.12 pounds.
Trigg County will send six teams out on Lake Barkley Saturday for the KHSAA Region I Fishing Tournament.
