Trigg County scored five times in the first two innings and made it stand up in an 11-4 win at Fort Campbell Monday.
Greyson Grissom’s two-run single followed a Jay Humphries RBI hit that staked the Wildcats to the early lead.
Joe Peca added an RBI hit in the second inning to put Trigg ahead 5-0.
Ethan Egner plated two runs for Fort Campbell with a double as part of a three-run second inning.
Back-to-back doubles by Trevor Terrell and Isaac Peca scored a Trigg run in the sixth which preceded a three-run triple by Andrew Williamson.
Terrell led the Wildcat offense with three hits, while Isaac Peca had his first multi-hit game of the season. Trigg banged out 12 hits in the contest.
Trey Carr got the win in relief of Bryce Cunningham. Carr allowed one hit over five innings and no earned runs. He struck out eight and walked three.
Travis Doyle had two of Fort Campbell’s four hits, while Egner had two RBIs, and seventh-grader Carter Timm had the other Falcon RBI.
Greysen Meyer only allowed two earned runs in six innings and struck out two for the Falcons.
Fort Campbell [0-8] will play at West Creek, Tennessee Tuesday.
Trigg County [4-4] will host Christian County Tuesday.
