Fresh off its win at Hopkinsville Thursday night, the Lyon County Lyons stand atop the first KHSAA 2nd Region Baseball RPI rankings. The rankings were released Friday morning.
Lyon County (7-3) holds the top slot with a ranking of .62450. Hopkinsville (8-2), which is coming off a pair of tough losses to McCracken County and Lyon County, comes in second with a rating of .60803.
The rest of the 2nd Region’s top five is Crittenden County at number three, Henderson County fourth, and Madisonville-North Hopkins is in the number five slot.
Across the state, Lyon County comes in just outside the Top 25, ranked #26 in the state. Hopkinsville is a little further back at #35.
Louisville Trinity stands at the top of the statewide baseball ranking. Danville falls at number two. The rest of the Top 5 is Paducah Tilghman at third, Frederick Douglass fourth, and Boyd County fifth.
