Majah Hollowell Helps Caldwell ‘Slam’ Hopkins Central 23-7

The Lady Tiger bats were hot on Thursday as Caldwell’s girls rolled to a 23-7 victory in four innings at Hopkins County Central in 7th District softball action.

The Lady Tigers recorded 23 base hits in the contest.

Majah Hollowell had a grand slam and finished 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs and three runs scored. Allie Felker went 4-for-5 and drove in two while scoring three times.

Harper Holeman was 3-for-4 with a double and a triple while Shelby Lane was 3-for-5 and knocked in three for Caldwell.

The Lady Tiger scored in every inning. That includes five runs in the second, seven in the third and 10 in the fourth.

Illysa Stallins was the winning pitcher, allowing seven earned runs on nine base hits while striking out three and walking one.

Caldwell’s girls are 5-6 overall and 2-1 in district action.

Hopkins County Central is 2-9 this season and 0-2 in district play.

The Lady Tigers have won 10 straight over the Lady Storm to close within 26-22 in the all-time series.

Caldwell’s girls are now off until Monday when they entertain McCracken County from the 1st Region.
