Saying afterward that he was in a bit of a slump, Caldwell County eighth grader Collin Whittington doubled home the first two runs of the game on Friday in the Tigers’ 5-2 win over Trigg County.
Caldwell has a pair of big 7th District games next week against Madisonville-North Hopkins, facing the Maroons on both Tuesday (at home) and Thursday (away).
