Bassin’ Colonels Work Through Weather to Place at Region

Austin Cameron and Tristan Combs finished in 41st place at the Region 1 Bass Fishing Tournament with five bass weighing 7-pounds, 7-ounces.

Christian County sent two boats on the water Saturday for the KHSAA Region 1 Bass Fishing Tournament on Lake Barkley.

Austin Cameron and Tristan Combs finished in 41st place with five bass weighing 7-pounds, 7-ounces. Their big bass weighed 2-pounds, 2-ounces.

Colton Pyle and Taylor Kelly caught one bass that weighed 2-pounds, 3-ounces, and was good for a 63rd place finish.

The Marshall County duo of Ty Redden and Clayton Wyatt won with a bag weighing 17-pounds, 13-ounces. Their big bass was 4-pounds, 14-ounces.  They caught their limit in the final two hours of the tournament.

Logan Littleton and Jayden Peach of Ohio County finished second with 15-pounds, 6-ounces.

82 boats left Kuttawa Harbor in the early morning and dealt with steady rain and sometimes windy conditions all day. 67 teams weighed in at least one bass.
