
In the final tournament of her high school career, Audie Smith finished third at the KHSAA State Archery Tournament to help Trigg County to a seventh-place team finish.
Trigg County shot at one of four state tourney locations Thursday in Bowling Green. The final state location conducted its shoot Saturday and the statewide results were released soon after.
Smith equaled her career-best score with a 295 to finish third. She had 25 tens, including one on her final arrow. It’s the third top-10 finish at state for Smith and her second straight top-5 finish.
Lincoln County’s McKenzie Settles shot a 298 to take state champion honors. Eastern High School’s Emmaline Kleinman was second with a 296.
Jeri Beth Oliver shot a 285 to finish in a 25th place tie for Trigg County.
Briana Hall-Johnstone was one shot back with a 284 to come in 29th.
