The Murray Tigers used a huge third inning to run away with a big road win at Fort Campbell Monday evening. The Tigers sent a total of 20 batters to the plate in the inning as they scored 14 runs on their way to a 19-0 three-inning win over the Falcons on post.
The Tigers cranked out eleven hits over the three innings, including home runs from Austin Miller and Reese Wilson.
Murray scored three runs in the first and two more in the second before the dam burst in the third inning.
Fort Campbell was a bit more than cooperative to the Murray effort. The Falcons were charged with six errors and gave up seven walks. Only six of the Tiger runs were recorded as earned runs.
Murray pitchers Kyle Crady and Jackson Bell combined to throw a three-inning no-hitter, striking out three, while walking one.
The loss drops the Falcons to 0-12 on the year. Fort Campbell is set to be back in action Thursday when they host West Creek.
