Trigg County scored all 14 of its runs in two innings hand University Heights Academy a 14-2 setback and get back on the winning track.
Ragen Pollard was solid in the circle for UHA early, retiring five of the first seven batters she faced.
Trigg County broke through in the third inning with five runs. Up 1-0, Emma West plated a pair of runs with a two-run double to left. Rylee Hendricks followed with her second home run of the year to left. The two-run shot put Trigg ahead 5-0.
UHA got two runs back in the fourth inning when Mallory Ladd led off with a single followed by a Breanna Daniel single. Ladd scored on a wild pitch, and Daniel came around to score on a Hampton ground out.
Trigg County put the game out of reach with a nine-run fourth inning. The Lady Wildcats used four walks, three hit batters, and a two-run double by Hendricks to take a 14-2 lead.
Trigg only had five hits in the game but had seven different players with an RBI.
Avery Wade picked up her second win of the season, striking out seven and walking none while giving up two earned runs.
Pollard struck out three for UHA and allowed seven earned runs and four hits.
Trigg County [4-7] is scheduled to play at Crittenden County Thursday.
UHA [3-5] also returns to the diamond Thursday with a district game against Christian County.
