One throw is underhanded. The other is slung sideways. Yet another is pushed forward. University Heights Academy junior Regan Pollard is busy pulling off the rare spring double of softball and track and field.
Pollard was in the circle for the UHA softball team just days after setting a new school record in the discus throw at the Chuck Gullo Twilight Relays. She also threw the shot put over 25 feet.
Pollard said both sports complement each other well, and that she can see improvement in both as a result.
