
Before Tuesday’s game in Princeton, Caldwell County had dropped 30 straight games against 7th District foe Madisonville-North Hopkins, going back to the 2008 season.
However, the Lady Tigers put an end to that string, defeating the Lady Maroons 6-3 and throwing their hat into the ring as a district contender this season.
Caldwell senior Shelby Lane said the Lady Tigers discussed the losing streak before Tuesday’s game.
