Todd County Central has turned to a coach with ties to Clarksville to be its next boys’ basketball coach. John Stigall was named the coach following a vote by the school’s site-based council.
Stigall coached at two different schools in Clarksville – Kenwood from 2008-14 and Northeast from 2016-19.
He guided the Eagles to two region titles and a Class 3A state semifinal appearance in 2019. Stigall was 74-28 at Northeast.
Stigall has stops at three other Tennessee schools in his 17-year coaching career that includes a record of 292-188.
His last coaching stop was at Nolensville High in 2019-20 where he compiled a 12-14 record.
Stigall took the girls’ head coaching job at Blackmon High School in Murfreesboro following the 2019-20 season but resigned a month before the start of the season, citing “personal and health reasons.”
He takes over a Todd County Central program that was 7-12 last season with a roster that featured no seniors. Dennis Pardue was not retained after a 13-34 record in two seasons.
