It was a chance to make a regional tennis statement for University Heights Academy’s Ethan Alexander Friday evening at Ruff Park. Alexander got the chance to square off against Henderson County’s #1 boys’ singles player Isaac Holland.
Alexander’s statement came in the form of a straight-set win over Holland. The two battled through a tight and tense opening set, with Alexander pulling out the 7-5 win. Alexander then closed out the match with a strong second set, rolling past Holland 6-2.
The win should strengthen Alexander’s hopes for a seed when the regional tennis pairings are announced.
