Martin’s 1st-Place Finishes Help Trigg Boys’ Track to Runner-Up Showing

Trigg County senior JaQuellus Martin won two individual events and the 4x800M Relay team finished 1st to lead the Wildcats to a runner-up finish at Saturday’s Hopkinsville Invitational at the Stadium of Champions.

The Wildcats scored 87 points, edging out 3rd-place Christian County by 4 points.  Fort Campbell finished 1st with 113 points.

JaQuellus Martin – 1st in the 100-meter dash (11.48); 1st in the 200-meter dash (22.28).

Austin Cavanaugh – 4th in the 800-meter run (2:14.10); 4th in the 1600-meter run (4:52.58).

Riley Thompson – 10th in the 1600-meter run (5:17.60); 4th in the 3200-meter run (12:08.19).

Ryan Simpson – 3rd in the 400-meter run (53.77).

Kelsey Parham – 6th in the 100-meter dash (12.25).

Peyton Williams – 15th in the 100-meter dash (12.82); 7th in the 200-meter dash (24.98).

Marshall Jenkins – 8th in the 800-meter run (2:19.95); 11th in the 1600-meter run (5:19.82).

Timmy Cannon – 18th in the 400-meter dash (1:03.31); 23rd in the 200-meter dash (29.29).

Ethan Over – 8th in the 110-meter hurdles (36.36); 5th in the 300-meter hurdles (59.40).

Joseph Crawford – 8th in the high jump (5-00.00); 13th in the long jump (16-02); 5th in the triple jump (34-08.00).

Jack Lingenfelter – 11th in the long jump (16-04); 13th in the shot put (30-05.25); 12th in the discus (77-04.75).

The 4×100-meter relay team finished 3rd (49.48); the 4×200-meter relay team finished 4th (1:38.43); the 4×400-meter relay team finished 5th (3:53.23); the 4×800-meter relay team finished 1st (8:52.02).
