Relay Wins Help Colonels Take Third at Hopkinsville Invitational

Aided by wins in two relay events and eight other top-5 finishes, the Christian County Colonels finished third Saturday at the Hopkinsville Track and Field Invitational.

The Colonels scored 83 points to finish four points behind second place Trigg County.  Fort Campbell won with 113 points.

Joseph Alexander – 2nd in the 100-meter dash [11.55]; 2nd in the 200-meter dash [23.16]

Xavien Henderson – 3rd in the triple jump [35-08]; 7th in the long jump [17-05.50]; 9th in the 800-meter run [2:20.81]

J.T. Adams – 3rd in the shot put [3-09.25]; 6th in the discus throw [87-04]

Scotty Blythe – 3rd in the discus throw [88-00]; 7th in the shot put [34-01.50]

Camden Britton – 5th in the 1600-meter run [4:55.02]

Josiah Bridges – 5th in the 110-meter hurdles [20.05]; 6th in the long jump [17-08]

Robert Matlock – 6th in the triple [34-07.50]; 9th in the high jump [5-0]

Zamien Matlock – 8th in the 100-meter dash [12.50]

Cyrus Greenwade – 9th in the 400-meter dash [56.85]

Dasean Dunham – 10th in the 800-meter run [2:21.78]

Dahzmeon Brown – 10th in the 200-meter dash [25.43]

Keon Dillard – 18th in the 1600-meter run [5:38.25]

Conner Rinehart – 22nd in the 400-meter run [1:14.10]

The 400-meter relay team won in 45.86 seconds, edging Fort Campbell by .10 second.  The 800-meter relay team also won, again beating Fort Campbell by two seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team was third in 3:44.06.
