With the game tied 2-2 and the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning, Caldwell County eighth grader Collin Whittington singled into left field on Monday.
Whittington’s one-out base hit gave Caldwell a 4-2 lead at University Heights Academy, and the Tigers went on to pick up a 7-2 victory.
