Colonel Tracksters Finish Eighth at Red Devil Invitational

Competing against a loaded field, Christian County finished in eighth place Saturday at the Owensboro Red Devil Track and Field Invitational.

J.T. Adams and Joseph Alexander both had top-5 finishes for the Colonels, with Alexander taking home two of them in the sprint events.

As a team, the Colonels scored 38 points to finish four points behind Daviess County. Owensboro won the team title with 143.50 points, and North Hardin was second with 136.50 points.

J.T. Adams – 3rd in the shot put [42-04]

Joseph Alexander – 3rd in the 100-meter dash [11.33]; 5th in the 200-meter dash [23.62]

Camden Britton – 6th in the 800-meter run [2:09.64]; 7th in the 1600-meter run [4:50.42]

Cameo Gordon – 7th in the 400-meter run [52.93];

Josiah Bridges – 7th in the 110-meter hurdles [18.38]; 9th in the long jump [17-06]

Xavien Henderson – 10th in the triple jump [33-11]

Christopher McCarley – 11th in the discus throw [97-05]

Robert Matlock – 11th in the triple jump [33-06]; 14th in the long jump [16-04]

Scotty Blythe – 12th in the shot put [34-07]

Dahzmeon Brown – 12th in the 200-meter dash [25.30]; 15th in the 100-meter dash [12.25]

Dasean Dunham – 20th in the 400-meter run [59.20]

Michael Webb – 20th in the 1600-meter run [5:38.84]

Keon Dillard – 21st in the 800-meter run [2:26.68]

 

The 800-meter relay team of Joseph Alexander, Cameo Gordon, Dahzmeon Brown, and Jaiden Northington came in fourth place in 1:35.76.

The 1600-meter relay team of Cameo Gordon, Camden Britton, Jaiden Northington, and Cyrus Greenwade finished fifth with a time of 3:46.85.

The 400-meter relay team of Joseph Alexander, Zamien Matlock, Cameo Gordon, and Jaiden Northington finished fifth in 46.52.
