With the track & field season about to make the turn into the home stretch, the University Heights Academy Blazers made the trip to Owensboro over the weekend to take part in the 2021 Red Devils Classic. Led by a strong performance from Connor Dill, the Blazers ended their day with a 10th place finish, scoring 29 points. The host Red Devils won the meet, with North Hardin placing second, and John Hardin taking third.
Connor Dill had a big day for the Blazers, taking first place in both the Boys 110 Meter Hurdles and the Boys 300 Meter Hurdles.
Scoring finishers for UHA were:
Connor Dill – 1st place – Boys 110 Meter Hurdles
Connor Dill – 1st place – Boys 300 Meter Hurdles
Boys 4×200 Meter Relay (Connor Dill, Trey Wyatt, Walter Kunnmann, Mason Price) – 7th Place
Elvin Wagner – 7th place – Boys Triple Jump
Sam Cotthoff – 6th place – Boys Shot Put
