Lady Colonels Jump to Fifth Place Finish in Owensboro

Led by top-5 finishes by Cierra Ward and Autumn Bell, Christian County finished fifth Saturday at the Owensboro Red Devil Track and Field Invitational.

Bell won the triple jump and had three other top-5 finishes, while Ward had second-place finishes in both the long jump and triple jump.

As a team, Christian County totaled 52 points to finish in fifth place. North Hardin was first, and South Warren came in second place.

LADY COLONEL FINISHES

Autumn Bell – 1st in the triple jump [33-00]; 3rd in the 400-meter run [1:04.86]; 4th in the 200-meter dash [27.86]; 5th in the 100-meter dash [13.38]

Cierra Ward – 2nd in the long jump [13-10]; 2nd in the triple jump [29-10]

Daiha Price – 12th in the 800-meter run [2:57.29]

Shaely Thibadeaux – 15th in the long jump {9-06.50]; 16th in the 100-meter dash [14.37]; 16th in the 200-meter dash [29.78]

Janiyah Powell – 15th in the shot put [21-01]

Alyssa Adler – 17th in the 400-meter run [1:19.61]

 

The 1600-meter relay team of Alyssa Adler, Jakiyah Oatts, Taylor Dunn, and Daihla Price finished in fourth place with a time of 5:14.27.

The 400-meter relay team of Julia Muniz, Jazmyn Rodriguez, Shaely Thibodeaux, and Nezaria Kellum finished sixth in 1:00.21.

The 800-meter relay team of Symacean Brown, Destine Govan, Lazia Gill, and Nezaria Kellum finished in sixth place in 2:05.73.
