It did not take long for Dennis Pardue to find his next coaching assignment. Just over a month after it was announced that he would not be returning to coach the Todd County Central boys basketball team, officials at Russellville High School announced Monday that Pardue would be the next coach of the Lady Panthers.

Pardue spent two seasons at Todd County Central. The Rebels were 13-34 in Pardue’s two seasons as Rebels head coach.

Pardue is no stranger to Russellville fans. He took the Russellville boys’ head coaching job in 2004, where he amassed a 142-90 record in eight seasons. After a short stint at Garrard County, Pardue led Kenwood to a 66-46 record from 2014-18.

Pardue is a graduate of Auburn High School.

Pardue takes over for Ryan Davenport, who also serves as the Athletic Director at Russellville High School. Davenport coached the Lady Panthers to a 10-11 record in one year at the helm of the Russellville girls’ program.

The Lady Panthers graduate only two seniors from the 2021 roster.
