Majah Hollowell hit her fifth home run of the season and Illysa Stallins allowed just one run on four base hits as the Caldwell County Lady Tiger softball team captured a 12-1 victory in six innings Monday at Webster County.
Caldwell scored in every inning, putting the game away with a five-spot in the top of the sixth inning.
Webster, now 2-16, got its lone run in the bottom of the fourth.
The Lady Tigers pounded out 17 base hits in the contest, led by Allie Felker’s 4-for-4 showing at the plate. Felker had a pair of doubles and scored four times while drive in one run.
Harper Holeman was 3-for-3 with a double and four runs batted in while A.J. Hollowell went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Shelby Lane was 2-for-4 with a double and knocked in three while Rylee Thompson was 2-for-3. Majah Hollowell finished 1-for-3 with the solo home run in the second inning.
It was Caldwell’s second win over the Lady Trojans this season. The Lady Tigers won 11-2 early in the year in Princeton.
Caldwell’s girls are now 8-9.
The Lady Tigers will return to action on Thursday when they visit McCracken County.
