Former Caldwell County High School standout Landon Holt graduated from Brescia University over the weekend as one of the most-decorated athletes ever in the Bearcats track and field program.
In five years at Brescia, Holt was a four-time River States Conference Champion and has earned All-Conference honors a stunning 18 times.
Holt leaves the Owensboro NAIA school owning 14 Brescia records, including the 60m, 100m, indoor/outdoor 200m, indoor/outdoor 400m, 600m, 400m hurdles, 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay, outdoor 4x400m relay, indoor/outdoor long jump and javelin.
Holt hit an NAIA National qualifying standard in the decathlon in the 2019 outdoor season and earned RSC Men’s Track Athlete of the Year in 2018.
He has been a multiple-time RSC Scholar-Athlete and team captain for the Men’s Track team.
Holt graduated on Saturday with his Master of Social Work degree.
He is a 2016 graduate of Caldwell County High School.
