Another day, another win for the Caldwell County boys’ tennis team.
The Tigers picked up their 17th team win of the season on Tuesday, defeating Webster County 7-2 at the CCHS tennis courts in Princeton.
Caldwell took five of six singles matches from the Trojans.
Ryan Hammett defeated Vincent Major 6-1, 6-1;
Jordan Hammett edged Ryan Warford 9-7;
Billy Wallace fell to Reid Davenport 8-5;
Nick Adams bested Seth Ranes 8-5;
Grayden Miller turned back Leo Vasquez 8-5;
and Bryce Thompson blanked Thomas Meisel 8-0.
The Tigers won two of the three doubles matches contested on Tuesday.
The Hammetts knocked off Warford and Ranes 6-3, 6-2;
Wallace and Miller beat Eli Byrum and Case Dailey 8-1;
Adams and Thompson lost to Davenport and Major 8-5.
