Christian County Rebounds by Rolling Past UHA

The Christian County Lady Colonels rebounded from a very difficult loss Monday night by taking it out on a crosstown rival Tuesday. Christian County got a three-inning no-hitter from Riley Hancock and Gracie Harned as the Lady Colonels rolled to a 17-0 win over University Heights Academy.

Hancock and Harned combined to face the minimum nine batters over the three innings of play. Each had two strikeouts during their time in the circle.

The Lady Colonels scored six runs in the bottom of the first and then added eleven more in the bottom of the second.

Pickle Winker was 2-2 with a grand slam, 5 RBIs, and two runs scored. Reni Shemwell ended up 2-2 with a home run, a triple, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Tenley Gilbert had a similar line, going 2-2 with a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored.

Six different Lady Colonels had a hit in the game, while seven different players drove in a run.

Christian County moves to 16-5 with the win, while UHA falls to 4-6.

The Lady Colonels are back in action Thursday when they host Crittenden County. The Lady Blazers return to the field Thursday when they travel to take on Fort Campbell.
