
Saturday was a big day for the offense of the Webster County Trojans. The Trojans scored in their first at-bat and every at-bat after that as they traveled to Fort Campbell and came away with a 17-1 five-inning win over the Falcons.
Webster County took advantage of three Falcon errors as they scored three in the first, three more in the second, seven in the third, two in the fourth, and two more in the fifth inning on their way to the win.
The Falcons got on the board on an RBI single from Carter Timm in the bottom of the 4th inning.
The win for the Trojans was the second over Fort Campbell in a 24-hour period. Webster County defeated the Falcons 14-4 Friday night in Dixon.
Fort Campbell’s Andrew Haughenberry was 2-2 in the game. Greysen Meyer finished 1-2 with a double and a run scored.
The loss drops the Falcons to 0-15 on the season. They are back in action Monday when they host Christian County in an 8th District matchup.
