Caldwell County’s girls picked up a solid third-place finish on Tuesday in the Marshall County Double Quad Track Meet in Draffenville.
The Lady Tigers totaled 85 team points in the competition. Host Marshall County ran away with the team title with 179 points while Fort Campbell was second with 120. Graves County was just four points behind Caldwell in fourth place.
Top performers for the Lady Tigers included Tamia Walker, who won the 100-meter dash competition in a time of 13.05 seconds. She was second in the 200-meter dash in 27.20 seconds.
Kylee White finished third in the 1,600-meter run in a personal-best time of 5:59.12.
Ava Pickett was fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:08.22.
Mariah Merritt placed sixth in the 200-meter dash in 32.08.
Jordan Ortt finished sixth in the triple jump competition at 24 feet, 3.5 inches. She was seventh in the 800-meter run in 2:54.92.
T.J. Goodwin was seventh in the triple jump at 22 feet, 9.5 inches.
Kaylee Brown was seventh in the discus at 67 feet, 6 inches. Emma Ward placed eighth at 64 feet, 6 inches.
In addition, the Lady Tigers were second in the 4×800-meter relay in 11:53.24 and second in the 4×200 in 2:01.86. Caldwell was third in the 4×100 relay in 57.28 seconds.
Caldwell competes at Trigg County next Tuesday, May 25.
