Caldwell County and Hopkinsville will have the top two seeds in the boys doubles regional tennis tournament which gets underway Monday. This year’s tournament is being hosted by Henderson County High School.
The top seeds for the event are:
#1 seed – Jordan Hammett/Ryan Hammett – Caldwell County
#2 seed – James Folz/Spencer Powell – Hopkinsville
#3 seed – Colton Browning/Easton Crowe – Hopkins Central
#4 seed – Seth Ranes/Ryan Warford – Webster County.
Jordan Hammett and Ryan Hammett, who have been at the top of the region in boys doubles throughout the season, will open play in the second round against Rudra Patel and Matthew Couch, of University Heights.
James Folz and Spencer Powell will start their journey in the second round against the Fort Campbell pairing of Mitch Petros and Gabe Gorsuch.
Browning and Crowe will open play in the second round against Chris Sabino and Aiden Moore, of Union County.
Ranes and Warford will get started in the second round against Madisonville’s duo of Tony Popescu and Aidan Brummer.
The boys begin play Monday on the courts at Henderson County High School.
