Avery Wade was perfect in the circle for three innings, and Trigg County rapped out 15 hits on its way to a 19-0 win over Dawson Springs Friday. For the young Lady Wildcats, it’s just the second time this season they have pieced together consecutive wins.
Wade faced the nine-batter minimum in the mercy-rule win, striking out six and picking up her team-high fifth win in the circle.
Trigg County scored six runs in the first inning and tacked on 13 more in the second.
Chandlar Wilson had a season-high three hits for the Lady Wildcats, while Rylee Hendricks, Lillie Cortner, Audrey Alexander, Ashlyn Brown, and Kiley Slone each recorded a pair of hits. All 15 of Trigg’s hits were singles.
Slone and Cortner each drove in four runs, and Brown had three RBIs.
Trigg County [7-13] will host Murray Tuesday.
