Sophomore Collin Calhoun’s first-round win by default was the bright spot for the Lyon County boys’ at Monday’s 2nd Region tennis tournament at Henderson County.
Calhoun was given a victory over Christian County’s Nate Matlock before falling 0-6, 0-6 to the top seed, Madisonville-North Hopkins’ Josh Plain.
Mason Byassee fell in his first-round match to Webster County’s Reid Davenport 0-6, 1-6.
The duo of Jackson Crawford and Dalton Phillips dropped their first-round match to Henderson County’s Mason Bridgeman and Brayden Dhom by scores of 1-6, 0-6.
Aiden Bacheson and Carter Bounds couldn’t take a set from Henderson’s Landon Hurtte and Carson Weiss, falling 0-6, 0-6.
