Wednesday morning officially marked a brighter day for the high school athletes at Fort Campbell High School, as well as at Fort Knox High School. In a letter sent out to students, their families, and the staffs at the two military school systems, the DoDEA announced that fall sports would have “full participation” at both installations.
The letter went on to say that both “Fort Campbell and Fort Knox high schools worked hard to develop a complete sports health and safety plan”, and that the plan had received “full approval from our garrison and DoDEA leadership.”
What this means for the athletic programs at both schools is that for fall 2021, students will be able to participate and compete in cross country, cheerleading, football, golf, soccer, and volleyball.
The letter did go on to advise that each school will send information to students and families on how to participate as part of their standard return to school information before the seasons start.
