They are two dates that will be remembered for a while in football history at Fort Campbell High School. Those dates are August 11, 2020, and May 25, 2021.

It was on August 11, 2020, that officials with DoDEA announced that there would be no 2020 season for the Falcon football program due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement that day would also affect boys soccer, girls soccer, and volleyball. DoDEA would eventually reconsider the shutdown of volleyball and allow the team to have a season.

Tuesday, May 25, 2021, it was announced that DoDEA had given approval for the Falcons to play football in the 2021 season.

The last time the Falcons played a football game was on November 9, 2019, when they traveled to Mayfield for a first-round game in the Class 2A playoffs.

Jeff Rodgers is technically in his second year at the helm of the program, but will now get the chance to have his first game as head coach in August.

The Falcons are set to open their season on August 21 when they travel to take on the Muhlenberg County Mustangs. Their first home game since October 25, 2019, will be the following week when they host the Todd County Central Rebels.
