Caldwell County’s Alicia Stanley came up with a key two-out hit in the bottom of the fifth inning, driving a double into the right-center gap to score two runs and tie Thursday’s game with Union County 5-5.
Stanley, the Lady Tiger catcher, was then part of a 7-6-2-5 double play in the top of the sixth inning that kept the game tied.
Caldwell went on to beat the Bravettes 8-7.
YSE caught up with Stanley following the contest.
