Caldwell County placed fourth at the Class 2A Region Meet Saturday in Paducah and will send a relay team and at least one individual to the state meet.
Seventh-grader Kylee White qualified for the state meet in the 1600-meter run with a second-place finish in 5:58.1
Tamia Walker had a pair of third-place finishes and a fourth-place finish. She finished third in the 200-meter dash in 27.3 seconds and third in the long jump {15-06]. She was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.2 seconds.
Ava Pickett finished third in the high jump with a height of 4-feet, 2-inches. She was also sixth in the 400-meter run [1:10.2].
Walker and Pickett must wait and see if they are at-large qualifiers for the state meet,

The 3200-meter relay team of Mariah Meritt, Addyson Schott, Jordan Ortt, and Kylee White came in third place in 11:44.
The 400-meter relay team of Christina Thatcher, Amaya Merritt, Mariah Merritt, and Tamia Walker finished in fourth place in 57.5 seconds.
The 800-meter relay team of Benashka Thomas, Amaya Merritt, Ava Pickett, and Mariah Merritt also finished in fourth place with a time of 2:01.3.
The 1600-meter relay team of Amaya Merritt, Kylee White, Ava Pickett, and Addyson Schott was fifth in 4:57.6.
