Haleigh Perdue pitched a four-inning no-hitter as Madisonville-North Hopkins routed Dawson Springs 17-0 Monday in the 7th District tournament semifinals in Princeton.
The Lady Maroons (12-14) will next face host Caldwell County (14-13) in the district championship game at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Ratliff Park Complex.
Paige Patterson had three home runs while going 3-for-4 and driving in seven runs for Madisonville. Brenna Sherman and Chloe Young were each 3-for-3, with Sherman homering and Young driving in five runs. Amber Osborne was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.
Meanwhile, Perdue struck out six and walked two in her four innings in the pitching circle.
Madisonville opened the game with six runs in the first inning. The Lady Maroons added two more in the second, five in the third and four in the fourth to end the game early on the mercy rule.
