Tyler Magan has resigned as Trigg County baseball coach two days after the Wildcats were eliminated from the postseason.
Magan said he has accepted a coaching and teaching position at Greenwood High School in Bowling Green. While he said he has enjoyed his six years in Trigg County, Magan said he is ready for a new challenge and expressed a desire to be closer to his family.
Magan was head coach of the Wildcat baseball program for three years, going 27-31. There was no 2020 season due to COVID-19. Trigg County has not reached the region tournament since 2018.
Prior to taking the head coaching position before the 2019 season, Magan spent three seasons as an assistant coach to Tim Bush.
Trigg County finished the 2021 season with four seniors on its roster and was 13-16.
