A 2nd Region semifinalist, University Heights’ Ethan Alexander was the lone Blazer representative at the boys’ KHSAA State Tennis tournament on Tuesday at the Top Seed Tennis Club in Lexington.
Alexander’s stay ended up being shorter than he would have liked, with a 0-6, 0-6 loss to Highlands’ Peter Laskey putting an end to his day.
Laskey advanced to the second round where he fell 6-2, 6-7(7) to Owensboro’s Dylan Mather.
