With Thursday’s 7th District softball championship tied 1-1 in the top of the seventh, Caldwell County’s Allie Felker lifted a deep fly ball to center that looked like it might be a go-ahead three-run home run.
But Madisonville-North Hopkins sophomore centerfielder went back to the fence and kept the ball in the park, making the catch for the third out of the inning.
The Lady Maroons went on to claim a 2-1 victory in eight innings.
