Karra Tucker saved her best for last and improved 10 shots from her first-round score to finish tied for 14th place at the Kentucky Girls’ Junior PGA Championship in Richmond Thursday.
Tucker shot an even-par 72 in the second round, carding three birdies and three bogeys. It was the best round of her competitive career. She shot an 82 on the first day of the 36-hole event at the University Club at Arlington.
Tucker’s Madisonville High teammate Kaitlyn Zieba finished in a tie for 26th place at 18-over. Zieba shot a 79 in the first round and an 83 in the second round.
