Franklin scored four times in the 12th inning to spoil a Hoptown comeback and take a 7-4 win over the Hoppers Tuesday at Colonel Field.
Down to their last at-bat, the Hoppers scored three runs in the ninth to tie the game at 3-3. Zayd Brannigan roped a two-run double to left and later came around to score on a JoJo Cruz single.
Franklin scored four runs in the 12th on five walks and a single. The Hoppers got a run back in the home half of the inning when Arlon Butts drew a bases-loaded walk.
Brannigan had two of Hoptown’s six hits in the game. Campbell Cleveland gave the Hoppers five innings of scoreless relief and struck out seven.
Jacob Curtis had a pair of solo home runs for the Duelers, and Braxton Meguiar added three hits.
Both the Hoppers and Duelers are 2-2 in the standings, two games behind the 4-0 Full Count Rhythm.
The start of the game was delayed 35 minutes due to rain.
On Monday, the Hoppers scored seven runs in the seventh to overcome an early deficit and pick up a 14-6 win at Fulton.
Tanner Holliman homered and drove in two, while Landon Choboy and Riley Garczynski each had three hits and two runs knocked in. B.J. Jessie got the win in relief with two scoreless innings and four strikeouts.
