Tomas Duncan concluded his University Heights Academy track and field career as the most decorated distance runner and added a school-record at Thursday’s Class 1A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington.
The Coastal Carolina signee finished fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:02.18, bettering his own school mark of 2:03.54. He leaves UHA as the owner of school records in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters. He did not compete in the 3200 at state.
Duncan also reached the podium in the 1600-meter run with a fifth-place finish. His time of 4:33.44 was the second-fastest in school history. He ran a 4:31.78 earlier this year at Marshall County.
Duncan was also part of the 1600-meter relay team that set a school-record time of 3:34.82.
